Welcome Change Media

Any good health and safety officer will tell us our wellbeing is the most important thing in the workplace. Our wellbeing at work depends on holistic self care, which isn’t always done well in the workplace.

We’re not just talking emotional burnout here. When was the last time you truly prioritised yourself? We all face stress and if we’re not careful, it compounds until we feel sick and if we’re really unlucky, we burn out.

A holistic approach needs to include physical wellbeing and mental health at work. But we also have stressors in everyday life whether it’s in the care we provide for others or the challenges we face in working for ourselves or others.

Who is Mel Kettle?

Mel Kettle has thought a lot about this and she offers mentoring and workshops, works with executive teams boards and business owners, and is a highly regarded public speaker. Her book Fully Connected explores how great leaders prioritise themselves, reclaim their energy and find joy.

In her chat with WNA CEO Cheryl Gray, Mel talks about why sometimes it’s a good thing, and necessary to make it “all about me”. Together, they explore why self-care is important and necessary, and how we can be our best selves and properly support others by putting ourselves first.
